✨Monday moodboard ✨ We’re back with another moodboard for one of my oldest and most favourite short stories! A Difficult Birth is about the strange journey into a forest for a new mother. Ironically it was written before I was a mother so I have been reviewing and redrafting recently with fresh eyes and my own experience. Not sure how we got here but my baby is one! 🎈 Thank you for giving me the happiest year of my life. I can’t wait to watch you keep growing and to be by your side every step of the way 🌿 Wrote a heartfelt blog post about motherhood and creativity, and how @me_mother_other helped me rediscover my writing voice. Definitely didn’t cry writing this one. Link is in my bio if you want to read the whole thing! 🩵 My heart is very full after yesterday’s amazing morning launching our very own @me_mother_other zine! 📰✨ Processing those first nursery drop offs the only way I know how 🌸 Started to get my head together to document some thoughts on motherhood over on my blog. It turns out that the baby going to nursery for a few hours this week has opened up the space in my brain for me things again, who knew! 🩵 There have been A LOT of feelings these past weeks as I start to think about heading back to work. Alongside the worries about baby going to nursery and how he will settle in, I’ve also spent a lot of time reflecting about who I am and what fulfils me. Mothering through the winter has been hard, but it feels like things are finally getting lighter. I’d love to explore motherhood through the seasons, although I’m sure this will have been done before! We’re back for another Moodboard Monday (no, I didn’t forget!) and this story is one inspired by the @writers_artists_ Writing Horror course I completed in 2024 with @kirstylogan. It’s a ghost story - but the ghost is a little different… 👻 Think an art thief, a quiet art gallery and a woman who has been stuck inside a painting for hundreds of years… 🖼️
