The London Diaries: Sky Garden

Continuing my mission of being a massive tourist in my own city, we headed over one sunny Saturday to the Sky Garden on Fenchurch Street – it’s free to get in, but you do have to book ahead in advance.

Having been before, I was excited for our visit to the Sky Garden because of its amazing panoramic views over the city, but even I couldn’t have predicted that the weather would be so completely in our favour. The clouds over London were breathtaking, and we had timed it perfectly so that we saw the light change as the sun set and the cool yellow melted into rosy pink tones.

As a massive countryphile, there’s something really different about taking pictures of the city and I enjoyed the challenge and end result of my urban photography. I mean, it’s not hard to make the city look good when the city’s showing off so much.
