Travels 2016

Travel Post 3

To say that I’m excited might be an understatement. To say that I haven’t quite processed it all might also be true. But in four days I will be setting sail for the other side of the world for three months- to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bali, Australia & New Zealand – and I don’t think I’ve ever been so ready for anything in my life.

Itineraries have been set, visas issued, passports polished. Many, many most probably over-expensive and unnecessary travel products have been bought. Flights too. Travel folders have been created too because myself and my friend are probably the most over-prepared travellers that ever were. And simply more than anything, I’m excited for new places, new experiences and new people.

So here’s to a 2016 which is already starting off in the best possible way: full of possibilities. I will be trying to blog as much as I can while I’m away, dodgy wifi connections permitting, so please do follow my travels! I would love to hear any tips or recommendations as I go.

And lastly, I wish you all a happy new year. You don’t have to do anything as dramatic as leave the country to have a fresh start, you don’t have to look any further than to your own mind. As cheesy as it sounds, I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2016 – enjoy!

  1. Beth, it sounds like we will be seeing some of the same destinations as you – just a couple of months behind you. We depart for Singapore early March and will visit Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. I’ll be checking your posts to see if you find any hidden gems along the way. I know you will have an amazing time! Safe travels!
