A Week in the Lake District
To celebrate the end of exams, dissertations and, in turn, university (eek!), my friends and I planned a trip to the Lake District to stay in a small cottage not far from Windermere. It was an amazing week, complete with terrible map reading, unexpected mountain climbing, excessive tea drinking, no phone signal or internet, and, […]
A Sunny Day in London Town
I’m aware that my posts are becoming increasingly photography based, which is not something I intended, but something that I’m enjoying nonetheless… With that out of the way, I spent a sunny day in London last week with my family wandering along the river and taking some photos. We also went up the Shard to […]
A Walk in the Woods
Spring is finally here in the UK and I’m home in Hertfordshire for the Easter holidays. I took a few photos on a Sunday afternoon family walk the other week. There was a beautiful sunset and I couldn’t resist a cheeky few sun spot photos too…
A Day in the Dales
I love living in Yorkshire and I had the opportunity to visit the surrounding countryside at the weekend with some friends. Cue climbing on rocks, frolicking in fields and a great pub lunch. I love the layering of colours in the first few photographs. It was a misty start to the morning but the sun […]
My Trip to Edinburgh
In which I forget which one’s Arthur’s Seat, spend a lot of money on tea and fall in love with a beautiful city. Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Edinburgh: a city I have been dying to visit ever since coming to York. It’s only two and a half hours by train, and after […]
My Trip to Salzburg
In December I went to Salzburg to visit my friend who goes to university there, and I was glad of the opportunity to see the beautiful city at Christmas time. I took a few photos: (Sorry for the extreme Christmassiness in mid-January; I’ve only just found my connector to put the pictures on my laptop!) […]
Photographing Lake Como
Hello! Again, I’ve been very lax with my blogging recently and I apologise, I’ve really had no excuse. But I thought it was about time to share some photos I took whilst on holiday with my family in Lake Como. They were all taken with my Nikon CoolPix P510 and I’m really happy with how […]
My Trip to Cambodia #2: Sightseeing
I’ve been doing a terrible job at keeping up with my blogging and it’s now been a whole month since I came back from Cambodia! It’s probably about time that I wrote the second instalment of my adventures there: all about the sightseeing and touristy things I did. While Cambodia may not be the tourism […]
My Trip to Cambodia #1: Teaching English
So I know that I haven’t blogged in a while, well ages, but I have a good excuse: I’ve been in Cambodia! I’ve just come back from the best three weeks of my life and while I’m still a little dazed and confused, I’m ready to share my adventures. I went to Siem Reap in Cambodia […]
Photographing York Minster
I’m lucky enough to live in a beautiful city which I really don’t appreciate as often as I should. So the other sunny day I went out to take some pictures of the city’s great landmark: the minster. Here are the results: They were all taken on my Nikon Coolpix P510.
